Telemedicine - Transmission devices

In telemedical monitoring, sensors worn on the body measure the patient’s vital parameters. These are first transmitted to a base station via a Bluetooth connection. It acts as a relay station to provide the measured data for further secure transmission. From the relay station, the collected vital data is transmitted to a central receiver (see patient file) and is archived there.

At this time, Corscience offers two ways of transmission.

BL Analog is a modem with a built-in Bluetooth module which can be simply plugged into any telephone jack. For secure data transmission, https channels or VPNs are used. BL Analog receives the data measured by the sensors via Bluetooth and forwards it to a server via the modem function. This server acts as a data interface.

Further information can be found on the data sheet (PDF)

Alternatively, a cell phone can act as a relay station.

Measurements from Corscience sensors are also transmitted by a variety of other transmission devices from other manufacturers (e.g. Tunstall Healthcare). We always welcome collaborations.
