The ChipOx offers the proven pulse oximetry technology within one of the smallest amounts of space sector-wide. The small size and low current consumption are ideal preconditions for OEM applications.
ChipOx has a serial interface (UART) for exchanging data via a secure protocol. Due to the large selection of setting parameters, the versatile protocol is able to meet most requirements. Besides SpO2 and the pulse rate, the plethysmogram and pulsation strength can also be transmitted, for example.
Via a multiplexed analog output, vital parameters and other measurements can also be output. This allows the ChipOx to be directly connected to an A/D converter or a recorder. Thanks to the continuous monitoring of the signal quality and an extensive warning and error reporting system, ChipOx makes reliable patient monitoring possible. The internal flexible artifact leveling function suppresses motion artifacts and guarantees stable measurement.
In order to further reduce the already low current consumption, it’s possible to lower the sampling rate from 300 Hz to 75 Hz.
