


BiCheck is a miniaturized module for the precise measurement of respiratory gases.
The sensor is based on the heat run-time method and is characterized by bidirectional measurement and very short response times. The decisive advantage is to be seen in the fact that the sensor head can be autoclaved, and therefore offers a very cost-effective alternative in clinical use.
The measuring electronics are accommodated on a 90 mm x 38 mm x 14 mm circuit board. All measuring data is output via a digital UART output. The power consumption is less than 1.65 W. The module is certified and fulfills all applicable standards which are required for approval.
In addition to the pure flow measurement over the entire physiologically relevant range from 0.5 – 250 l/min, the BiCHECK module also measures volume. The inspiratory measuring range is 0 – 5000 ml, and 0 – 3500 ml the expiratory range. Furthermore, the module allows inspiratory/expiratory time measurements, ranging from 10 ms – 60 s. Air and various oxygen concentrations are measured with the same measuring precision. The system is also temperature-compensated.
